The two things that I love most is my family and my food.For me,a happy meal is the key to success,a good food always uplift your mood and concretes your thought process.
I am a big time foodie and I absolutely love cooking.Being raised in a bengali family,I have been always bombarded with lip smacking aroma of different dishes,be it biryani,fish curry,chicken curry,moong dal,aloo posto,mix vegetables,pudding,poor and bhaji( luchi aloo dum) and what not.
My early memories dates back to the day when my dad used to make excellent potato fries and chicken curry,trust me those were the best chicken curry I have ever tasted till date. My mom too used to make finger licking jackfruit curry, malpuas,dahi vadas,bengali khichudi,dal poori.
Growing up with different foods and my quest for better education made me move out to different places,and trust me,was never able to satisfy my appetite as good as home made foods used to do. Fast forward to my job days,I was living alone on my own in Delhi,had tried all the famous cusines,but they were not remotely close to the food which I used to have back at home,I started become depressed and always used to crave for those finger licking food,till one fine day I decided that I had enough and now need to cook food myself, initial thoughts were like,how bad it could be? That gave me immense confidence,and I gradually started cooking with basic dishes like rice,paneer,pooris,dal,egg and later on didn't shy away from trying dishes like chicken biryani,fish curry,parthas,koftas and all. Of course my mom and dad used to help me out with the recipes and apart from that I used to learn from YouTube channel, specially Kabita's kitchen.
Now after years of expertise,I can confidently say that I have become a very excellent cook ( approved by my parents,friends and my ex too). Today I can cook at least 50 different dishes.I believe that every one should posses some culinary abilities so that you don't have to depend on other,and no matter which part of the world you are living?,you can always treat yourself and your loved ones with healthy and ravishing food.That is indeed going to help you thrive socially,and can lead a happy life.

现在,经过多年的专业训练,我可以自信地说,我已经成为一个非常优秀的厨师(我的父母,朋友和我的前任都认可)。今天的我至少能做50种不同的菜,我相信每个人都应该具备一定的烹饪能力,这样你就不必依赖别人了,而且无论你生活在世界的哪个角落,你都可以自己给自己做饭,你爱的人也可以吃上健康美味的食物。那确实会帮助你在社会上茁壮成长,并能过上幸福的生活。

My hobby is to cook.
(A lil background about me: I am an engineer, working for an MNC as a software developer. I am a SouthIndian and an Eggitarian)
I would cook a range of dishes from restaurant style say, Panner Butter masala, white sauce pasta.. to the home style Bisibellabath (sambhar rice).
Cooking needs the art of precision and approximation.
You cant measure everything in cooking. Well thats why Engineers find it tough.. (At least all my friends do so..)
I am a precision based cook. (In Tamil they used to call it as Kaipakkuvam)
I don’t follow 2 table spoons of chilly powder, or 1/2 a teaspoon of gram masala. So I take a look at the core ingredient and add tastemaker things in relative to the proportion and that has always worked for me.
I also stick to the proportion of first time addition of the ingredients. I don’t taste the semi-cooked food and add taste makes like salt to balance. I have always succeeded in this manner. But, very rarely it had changed the expected outcome of the taste .. I say very rarely.

I love cooking!
It’s healthier than eating out and cheaper in the long-run. Also, it’s interesting to see how separate ingredients become a meal! And there’s so many combinations to make even if you change one thing! It’s hard to run out of recipes to experiment because new ones are invented all the time!
I like to flip through cooking magazines to get ideas what to try next. Sometimes I may try a different approach to a recipe and discover something new on my own!
And I love cooking for family/friends. I love seeing their reaction to giving them homecooked food, followed by the first bite they take.

Fourth, cooking saves money, compared to eating out all the time. I was raised frugal, so this satisfies a deep need in me.
Fifth, cooking is a game: buying the ingredients I think I'm going to use, planning meals, figuring out how to use leftover pieces of things, combining ingredients that I didn't intend to use together…coming up with something tasty even though it didn't seem possible with what I had to work with.
Sixth, cooking is an affirmation that I'm good at something. I hate to admit it, but it strokes my ego to get compliments on the food I prepare.
I have to go eat dinner now….grilled cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. Simple, but tasty!

Strangely I neither like high cuisine too much.
But Rustic Fusion cooking, whit big flavors, That is where i shine, and what people love from me. Simple but high quality dishes.
My Priced dishes Include
· Whisky marinated stake whit oven baked potatoes and Stilton Butter, Complete with fancy spinach or salad
· Saté (Indonesian meat dish with peanut sauce, rice (or bread) and fresh fruits (Pineapple) on the side)
· Self made and build hamburgers (many different types, fresh ingredients, spices and herbs are the key)
· Mexican Meatloaf! Sweet hot and spicy. Love it on bread, or with corn and
· Chilly Chicken
· Orange Jus Carrot’s with cardemon
· Squirrel cookies (with real peaces of squirrels.. er… i mean nuts. )

Oh, yes, I love cooking, and since lockdown, the amount of the time I spend in the kitchen trying new recipes was enormous :) The cooking for me is another way to express myself by experimenting with new ingredients and discovering different flavors. I'm not always sticking to the recipe since I like to mix things up a bit or add a personal twist to the dish. It's a bit harder with baking, but I feel like there's always a better, healthier alternative for some products, and because of that, I think it will never get old for me :) In this case, the variety of possibilities motivates in a very positive way.

Yes! Cooking is not only a great hobby but a wonderful way to share your hobby with friends by inviting them over for a great meal, or taking friends a prepared meal or a plate of cookies when they might need it. Want to show appreciation for someone? Bake them a cake! Nothing shows care and appreciation more …….. Learning to cook brings great rewards…..try it!
However, to be truthful, I do not love to cook EVERY day. I take frequent sabbaticals where I prefer to eat out. There are evenings when I prefer skipping dinner prep and eat popcorn.

Yes, I absolutely love to cook. I love the satisfaction of having my own ingredients and being able to make my own food and cook it and eat it, and it's just more satisfying than going to a restaurant and sitting and ordering my food, then waiting 30 minutes only to have my food come out not to my taste and greasy, then realizing I just spent $20 on a meal that could have costed $3 and would have been way healthier and to my taste.

Thats an interesting question. I love cooking with an absolute passion that can be rivaled be very little. The science is incredable when you invest time to understand clearly, makes it something you just dont want to leave. The art and creativity is without a doubt one thing that draws everyone in, from guest to chef.
The things I detest however, the customer service aspect. I love cooking, not particularly serving. The life of a chef is also really lonely, I might have 8 hours a week that I could use to socialize, if there weren't a billion other things to do with my day off. The hours are tough, really tough. But if you love what you're doing, it pays off… really it does.
All in all, I'm addicted. It's my fix when I'm down to make some new recipes.

It’s good to cook for yourself but also for other people, to treat them with nice and healthy food, to make them ( and you) happy.
It’s not simply putting food together, it’s a sort of art of mixing and experimenting different tastes and flavours.
